Alright guys lets go ahead and move it right along in my SEO series. In todays lesson I want to cover setting up each blog post to have proper on page optimization so that you can collect some extra search engine traffic.
In case you missed my previous post on Proper Keyword Research make sure you go through that first. If you already did that then in this article I want to quickly cover how to set up each of your blog posts with Proper On Page optimization so that Google knows exactly what your article is about.
If done properly and the keyword you are going after has very little competition you can rank on the first page of Google from proper On page Optimization ALONE. For those of you that rather watch me explain this live on video you can watch the video below.
I apologize about the audio — I definitely need a new Mic 8)

So let’s assume you have chosen your target keyword and have already written your content.
(if you rather outsource your content you can read this article I put together on how I get articles written for me for as little as $2)
There are a few places that for me are “Mandatory” to have my keyword.
They are:
1. In the Main Title
2. In the first sentence bolded
3. In the middle of the article as a
clickable link (linking to the post)
4. In italics in the last paragraph.
5. As the “Alt Text” on at least one
image
6. In the H1, H2, H3 Tags (when possible but ALWAYS H1 at least)
7. In the Meta Title (done via an SEO plugin like All in on SEO, Gregs High Performance SEO, or WordPress Yoast SEO plugin)
8. In the Meta Description (done via an SEO plugin like All in on SEO, Gregs High Performance SEO, or WordPress Yoast SEO plugin)
9. In the URL
Now this is can be a little overwhelming to remember if you are just starting out in SEO. So if you want something that can do this for you automatically I recommend a cool plugin called SEOPressor which is basically like having an SEO expert looking over your shoulder telling you what you can do to improve your article to improve the optimization.
That is pretty much it when it comes to having proper on page optimization and as I mentioned before doing this ALONE can hugely benefit the traffic you are getting from the search engines.
I hope you found this tip useful and have a better understanding of how on page optimization works. If you have any questions or are not clear on something just leave me a comment below.
